Maroon 5 ft. Future - Cold Track Review

Let me take you back to the 2000's, the decade of the first millenia, F1 is getting more and more boring, hip-hop and RnB dominating the music scene, cartoon were on an all time low, and rock is very unique at this time. From Nu-Metal in early parts of the decade, Alternative and Punk scene in mid 2000's and all of that got squandered by the end of the decade with sterile adult alternative. Now I'm gonna look back at one of the band that was mildly successful at that time, Maroon 5. They were a project band made by Adam Levine in the early 2000's and were successful at that time. But 2010's happened and their sounds got more and more sterile and lacking some sort of elegance to it or should I say that they were a sell out craping out mediocre after mediocre singles that seems goes further and further into full pop.

And their 2016 offering Don't Wanna Know, is probably their full on pop phase has completed. not only there's practically any guitar in the mix except for the chorus, but it's a tropical song about Adam Levine pissiness for his ex-girlfriend about her new boyfriend that has the worst Kendrick Lamar verses I've ever heard since Give It 2 U.

And it seems like with this newest single featuring the overrated Future, it seems that the trends hasn't change because make no mistake, this song's sucks balls. Let's talk about the production here which is abysmal. Who in the right mind comparing Adam Levine with these bass saturated dreck that has any resemblance of rock. There's barely any melody other than the chorus but that mostly because of the synth that tried so hard to carrying the song but fails miserably. You can find the guitar except it so muted that you can barely recognize them. the percussion is probably the worst part for me because how much it sounds so thin and flair that it might be fake.

And speaking of fake, these two guys performance are godawful. Adam Levine might be sounds fine but his whine as he proceed to diss his ex is pathetic. You can go either way to get me sympathize with your break-up, either you have to be angry to your ex and detailed how bad her behavior is or just accepting to the fact that you're wrong. Both of these asshole did neither of those and just rambling on how this girl is gold digging cold blooded demon. I mean that's what I get from these guys and I can't support their action here.

Also there's Future here being himself. This guy bars sucks so hard that his vocals get slightly pitched up for some reason here and NO AUTO TUNE!!!!!!

In short this is just another attempt from Adam Levine to keep himself relevant by releasing easy listening garbage that gonna be played because of the name recognition. I would rate this 0/5 and definitely no recommendation.

Top 10 Worst Hit Songs of 2024

2024 will go down in history as one of the best year of all time...for pop music. Okay that's probably an exaggeration, but it is true that this year has been extraordinarily great for popular music. A lot of things that was bad about 2023; the abundance of lazy samplings, ragebait songs that supposed to make you mad, the absence of hip-hop, and the aura of unpleasantness that peppered the year 2023 all of them are somewhat gone. The fact that this year started out with a rap beef and it ended with a continuation of the biggest rap beef since the 90s. The comeback of pop music in a big way that's very snatched and girlynation while also having a great queer undercurrent, hip-hop having a great year and all that, and even country have its own redemption with some marginalized community hitting their strides. But, it's not all pretty and early 2024 before HISS came out things were continuing from 2023 by being rough and just nothing going on. Latin music especially having a v...

Top 10 Best Hit Songs of 2001

My fascination towards 2000s music is basically an understatement of the decade. I'd say that 2000s is one of the best decade for music even when some of the albums and songs are asinine garbage. The thing that interest me with this decade overall is how varied the music really is. One of my criticism of the 80s is that it can be a bit samey sounding by the end of the decade, but also the productions of the songs can be slapdashed and very busy. Meanwhile in the 2000s you can hear the creativity and innovation as technology in music production improved overtime. From the success of MP3 to the creation of online music stores and even music streaming and the advent of MySpace and FL Studios, you have it all really to make a perfect chaos. 2001 on the other hand...yeah it's not that memorable. When people think about 2001 they always point to the tragedy that was 9/11 while ignoring what happened to the rest of the year. While I'm not going to describe everything that happened...

Billboard Global Excl US Top 20 Ranking (Fall 2025) : Sabrina Carpenter, Kpop Demon Hunters, KATSEYE, sombr

Where we left off with Summer Ranking is that the pop chart has been stale for a while beside for the this chart I'm using and even then, no one can denied the steep downfall in quality that occured during Summer where a lot of artists should've been hitting big but I guess they got cold feet because Morgan Wallen basically rammed his 37 inch pp called "his album" on the chart. Thankfully the start of the Fall season, the pop chart looks healthy again with only five songs being carried over the last ranking. These crop of new songs are also very interesting to talk about as well. From the biggest animated movie of the year surprising everyone on how big it was, to Sabrina Carpenter's follow up to her star making album with diminshing return, new comers left and right, and of course discourses! Let's get this ranking started shall we? BAD TIER 20. Just Keep Watching - Tate McRae The chart for this season overall is actually improved a lot from last season, but ...
