  I was so burned out with anime in 2020. Not because there aren’t any great anime out there, but there’s so few and far between and that I felt like I needed to do something to make me occupied for this year. And thus... There’s so many things to say about this particular year that is 2020, but I think I can summarized it in one sentences *ahem* “It’s shit”. This year has been cruel to everyone around the world. No year has come close to match the awfulness of 2020 apart from 2016 but at least the zika virus can be controlled. Yeah the zika outbreak was just 4 years ago and just like that, music from 2016 to 2020 contrasted differently. While 2016 music really reflected what the mood of the time was, a lowkey and sometimes very dour which doesn’t make a good year. 2020 on the other hand felt more miniscule but big sounding. *sigh* 2020 has been one of the most unstable times I think I've ever seen since 2008 economic crisis and that's even before Covid-19 outbreak. Since the world is in chaos and cops being bastards as usual, the only solace we got from this situation is that we can focus more to seasonal ani-  Yeah I don't like this anymore. Well I don't wanna be a baby about this and just skipped another anime season because I'm actually following some anime this season. So let's talk about these anime in this Anime Report for Spring 2020. Spring 2020 seems to be one of the most varied season I've seen and it also count for the quality of the anime themselves. Since ReZero and Oregairu got postponed, there's no sense of domination of any series. Which makes this season not as unbalance as like say Summer 2019. Now it has some hindrance because since the anime from this season are varied in quality,  There is no standout anime that was like immediately great. ...

2019 has been really difficult year for me. But more difficult year for anime in general. Anime in 2019 has been in some way solid and yet it felt a bit hollow. Following a great year that is 2018, anime companies really trying to capture that euphoria of that year. But what we got is a good year but not a great one. And that can contributed to oversaturation of isekai shows, nonexistant presence of yuri anime, disappointment in shounen genre, and most tragically the arson attacks at KyoAni studio that killed a lot of their staff. From all of that though there’s some beacon of lights that maybe anime can unite us all and really drives force on how we see media as we knew it. Despite the absence of yuri anime, anime that centers or mentioning LGBT topics are being made each and every seasons and spoilers there’s one on this list.
